AKWASI FRIMPONG: GHANA’S FIRST OLYMPIC SKELETON ATHLETE!

It’s official! Congratulations to Akwasi Frimpong, the first Ghanaian skeleton athlete to ever compete in the Winter Olympics!

It took years of dedicated training and many months of preparation. But after a string of great lap times, he finally entered the top 60 of best skeleton athletes in the world, and qualified! Akwasi now enters the ranks of sportsmen in Pyeongchang during the Winter Olympics held from February 9 – 25, 2018. In his own, understandably excited words: “Yes! South Korea, here I come!”
