Sprinter Janet Amponsah was born on 12 April 1993 and will represent Ghana in the women’s 200 metres.
Janet Amponsah qualified for the Olympics after setting a personal record of 22.99 seconds on 8 July at the Soga-Nana Memorial in Cape Coast, Ghana.
Consistently high performance
Amponsah is one of the most talented athletes in Ghana and consistently performs well. She and her team won silver in the 4×100 metres at the Commonwealth Games in 2010, the All Africa Games in 2015 and the twentieth edition of the Africa Senior Championships.
